A Califiornia Showcase Success Story
The Terry Donahue Memorial California Showcase congratulates 2018 attendee, CJ Ravenell, on signing a contract with the Baltimore Ravens.
CJ attended Golden Valley High School in Santa Clarita, CA, and, in his senior year attended the California Showcase where he received a scholarship to Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri. CJ was a star defensive end for the university and received offers to attend three NFL camps this Spring. He ultimately signed with the Baltimore Ravens - - the culmination of a dream to play in the NFL.
Over 1,200 student-athletes have earned over $43 million in financial aid at over 150 colleges.

The Terry Donahue Memorial California Showcase

The California Showcase is a FREE, one-day, nonprofit event founded by Coach Terry Donahue (Head Coach, UCLA 1976 – 1995, winningest coach in Pac 12 and UCLA history, and five-time Rose Bowl champion) in association with the National Football Foundation. In a one-day skills combine, graduating high school seniors and community college student-athletes have an opportunity to display their skills to NCAA Division II, III, NAIA, and community college football programs with the goal of earning financial aid to attend college and further their education.
The 13th Annual Terry Donahue Memorial CA Showcase will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at the Great Park in Irvine, California (Sand Canyon & 5 Fwy). The event will feature 400 elite student-athletes from all over California who will showcase their skills during a series of tests and drills designed to best display each player’s talent at their respective positions. The CA Showcase will be organized and managed by former college and professional football players and coaches associated with Coach Donahue throughout his career.
Following the activities, players and coaches from the colleges/universities will meet in an adjacent facility to discuss scholarship and financial aid opportunities. (Admission in this area will be restricted to student-athletes, participating coaches, and volunteers.)
The California Showcase wishes to give a special thanks to Phil Camp, Coby Rhoden, Chris Vaughan, and the entire team behind the Houston Showcase for sharing this special idea with us. Their unique vision and support have enabled us to bring the California Showcase to the Golden State.
Success by the Numbers: 12 Years and Counting
Over 4,800 student-athletes have participated in the California Showcase since 2013, with over 1,200 signing with an NCAA Division II, III or NAIA four-year college, or CA community college.
1 in 3 Athletes who attend the CA Showcase sign with a college. Student-athletes have been recruited by 160 colleges or universities in 35 states.
Average financial aid awarded per
athlete is over $25,000 per year, which equals $100,000 toward a college degree per student-athlete at a four-year institution.
Over $43 million in financial aid awarded from NCAA Division II, III or NAIA colleges/universities and California community colleges.
